The PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a scheme aimed at supporting individuals with traditional skills in establishing their businesses. This programme not only provides financial assistance but also offers skill training to beneficiaries. Traditional artisans like blacksmiths, goldsmiths, potters, carpenters, and cobblers stand to benefit from this initiative, which encompasses 18 specific traditional trades. Financial Assistance: 
Individuals possessing traditional skills can access loans under this scheme, with amounts reaching up to Rs 3 lakh.
The scheme follows a two-phase approach: a loan of Rs 1 lakh is granted in the first phase to kickstart the business, and a second-phase loan of up to Rs 2 lakh is available for business expansion.
These loans carry a low interest rate of 5%.

Skill Training: 
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana includes provisions for skill training, which will be conducted in the 18 specified trades.
Master trainers will oversee the training process, and trainees will receive a daily stipend of Rs. 500.
Additional benefits include a PM Vishwakarma certificate, ID card, skill upgrades through basic and advanced training, a toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000, and incentives for digital transactions.

 Qualification Requirements: 
To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a citizen of India.
2. Be associated with one of the 18 designated trades covered by the scheme.
3. Be between the ages of 18 and 50.
4. Possess a certificate in the relevant trade from a recognised institute.
5. Belong to one of the 140 castes included in the scheme.
